Bayern Munich sign Benfica’s Renato Sanches and Dortmund’s Mats Hummels



Bayern Munich have completed the signings of Benfica’s midfielder Renato Sanches and Borussia Dortmund’s defender Mats Hummels.

The 18-year-old Portuguese international Sanches will value Bayern €35m and add-ons while the fee for theGermany defender is undisclosed however believed to be around €30m. It has been reported that the fee for Sanches might reach the maximum amount as €80m. Both players have signed five-year deals.

Sanches was wanted by many high clubs, including Manchester United, but the Bundesliga winners won the race. The player completed a medical on Monday in Muenchen and the club’s business executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said: “We have been keeping a watch on Renato Sanches for an extended time now and that we arterribly happy to own signed him despite lots of competition for him.


Rummenigge added of the 18-year-old, who was born in national capital to folks from Cape Verde: “Renato may be a dynamic, tough and technically adept midfielder World Health Organization can build our team stronger.”

Bayern have already won the Bundesliga this season but lost their Champions League semi-final against AtléticoSpanish capital. The coach, Pep Guardiola, will leave the club in the summer and get replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
